Courses and Student Work

Interaction Design Courses

Interaction Design is the creation of a representational dialogue among people and intelligent products, environments and communications encountered in their everyday experience. This complicated discipline deals with issues of behavior, time, and technology, and the courses I have developed and taught investigate issues of poetry, complexity and information architecture. These courses include:

Human Computer Interaction

Interactive Product Design

Information Architecture

Interaction Design Studio

I have also written a bit about structuring an Interaction Design curriculum; click here to read about it.

Industrial Design Courses

Industrial Design is the creation of products, services and systems that affect people through form, function, and experience. Industrial Designers work with clients and manufacturers to understand problems, identify solutions to these problems, and create artifacts that embody the solutions in visually appropriate and semantically useful ways.

I have developed course content for several classes in Industrial Design:

Contextual Research Methods

Development of Product Form
