Interactive Lessons

Shown here is the final, working version of Interactive Lessons. Interactive Lessons primarily consists of the following components:

  • Single or multiple workspaces, which can be displayed to the class via the projector
  • The Student Interaction window, which contains features for viewing student calculator screens and sharing data among calculators and the console
  • The formula and symbols palette, which enables easy placement of standard formulas within the workspace
  • Basic set of editing tools

The student interaction window is the communication hub of Interactive Lessons - this allows the teacher access to all the networked capabilities in a single location. This window contains three tabs: The Calculator Screen view, the Receive Data view, and the Send Data view. The Calculator Screen view was always an integral part of Interactive Lessons. The data transfer capabilities were expanded and enhanced by participatory design sessions with real users at local high schools.
